Adopt-A-BookWe would like to begin a new tradition at Lowry Elementary: Adopt-A-Book. Adopt-A-Book is an opportunity for families to recognize their student or a teacher by donating a book to the library. Donations can be in honor of a special occasion or as a gesture of appreciation. Some ideas include: child's birthday, Kindergarten continuation, 5th grade continuation, child's special achievement, teacher appreciation, or a holiday gift. A flat fee of $15 will cover the cost of the book. Our library technician has several books set aside for the students to choose from. Your child will have the opportunity to come into the library and choose the book you would like to donate. You are welcome to come into the library to help them choose a book, or we will have a volunteer assist during school hours. Next, we will place a placard in thee front of the book showing that you donated the book and for what occasion. Your child will be the first person allowed to check out the book. In addition, we will post a list of donors to the Adopt-A-Book program in the library. To participate, please return this completed form with a check for $15 made out to Lowry Elementary PTO.
