It’s going to be another great year at Lowry Elementary! The Lowry PTO has established numerous committees for this 2007-2008 school year, all of which have an important role in making your child’s school experience the best it can be. Please take a look at the list of volunteer areas, sign up on PTO Manager (www.ptomanager.com), and the committee chair will contact you to determine how you can get involved within your schedule. Information about each volunteer opportunity can be found here. The PTO requests that each parent volunteer at least 10 hours (or 1 hour a month) this school year. You can let us know your volunteer interests by completing or updating an electronic form on PTO Manager. If you are a new user, simply go to www.ptomanager.com and follow these steps to enter your contact information and volunteer interests. 1. Under “New User for a School Using PTO Manager” press, “click here” to register. 2. Complete the information in the Find Your School section. 3. Under New PTO Manager User press, “click here” to register. 4. Enter your email and password. If you have already completed a volunteer information sheet and delivered it in the Lowry PTO mailbox, the data you provided has been entered into the database under your name. Feel free to review or update your information. 5. Complete the Volunteer Information section. Press save. (Do not check the “do not email me” or the “do not include me in school directory” sections.) 6. Complete the Volunteer Interest section. Press save. Please note that it does request available days and times. You can express an interest in an activity without noting this field. 7. Complete the Students section. Press “New Student.” Press save. 8. You’re done! The PTO committee chairs will run reports to find volunteers for specific activities and events and make contact with you at the right time in your areas of interest. We will also keep in touch with you via PTO Manager to share information about upcoming events and the volunteer needs for those events. Please take a few minutes to complete your volunteer information on PTO Manager. This will make Lowry’s volunteer coordination and participation a lot more efficient. Questions?
